Signs of Depression
Depression is a mental disease that claims many lives every year. Most of them fail to get help and end up committing suicide or getting other health complications related to this disease. Majority of the people who die from depression are women. A research carried out recently by doctors show that women are more likely to develop depression than men. This happens when they go through stressful situations. However, there are signs of depression that you need to look out for and seek treatment for them on time.
The first sign of depression is a bad mood. Depression causes sadness that leads to health complications. It makes the victim feel worthless and can lead to suicide. You can also lose appetite and lack sleep at night. These thoughts can haunt you throughout the day and make you feel guilty and find nothing interesting.
Headache is one of the most common physical signs that you will experience when you have a depression. This disease can make a migraine worse and make you very uncomfortable.
You can also suffer from a backache and pain in every joint in your body. The pain does not respond to any treatment and becomes very persistent.
Depression can affect the heart and make you pain in the chest. Be sure to have any pain in your chest checked by your doctor.
Digestion problems affect you and give you nausea. Sometimes they cause diarrhea or a severe constipation.
Sleep pattern changes may be observed and you may find that you go to bed too late and wake up very early. Other people want to sleep all the time and it is not easy to make them wake up.
Feeling dizzy and lightheaded is also one the many signs of depression. It may be caused by low appetite or any other health problems.
